Equals under $4.25 for each 500 ml refill including FREE postage

Refill your Tea Trees long life recycled spray bottle with this 4 x pack of bathroom cleaning tablets.  Never run out of our bathroom superstar cleaning system again – while removing single use plastic bottles from the environment and de-cluttering your cupboard in the process!

Our gentle yet effective cleaning solution will remove soap scum, toothpaste, water marks, calcium build up and other grime from your bathroom surfaces including basins, vanities, showers / screens, baths, cupboards, benchtops and even toilets.  Tiles, ceramics, laminates and timber have all been tested and it works a treat (but we recommend you test a small patch and allow to dry to triple check).

Fill bottle with warm tap water, let dissolve for 30 minutes, then put on nozzle. CAUTION: Do not use boiling water. Our bathroom tablets take longer to dissolve than our other refills.

Other benefits of the bathroom cleaning tablets include

  • Less clutter in your cupboards
  • Less plastic entering landfill
  • More supply - a backup of cleaning tablets ready when you need them
  • Non toxic solution, gentle on your home
  • One bottle – one table – dissolve – clean – repeat

What's in it?  We're all about transparency so here's the breakdown of ingredients in simple terms.  No surprises at Tea Trees.

Tartaric Acid

An organic acid that occurs in many fruits and is an alternative to bleach.  Organic, non toxic and biodegradable

Sodium Bicarbonate

AKA baking soda, bicarb, bicard soda.  We eat it.  It’s a mild disinfectant, can absord musty smells and can also be an effective fungicide.  It’s completely non toxic and biodegradable.

Sodium Chloride

It’s a fancy way of saying salt.  When paired with tartaric & citric acid it makes a powerful cleaner.  Non toxic and biodegradable

Citric Acid Anhydrous

Citric Acid comes from citrus fruits.  The ‘anhydrous’ part refers to ‘no water’ – hence it’s in a tablet!  It’s used as a preservative, is non toxic and kills bacteria, mold and mildew.  It’s considered a gentle cleaner for those with sensitive skin and is biodegradable

Sodium Silicate Anhydrous

Non toxic hard water reducer which prevents mineral deposits on surfaces and is environmentally friendly.

Sodium Lauryl Sulphate

A commonly used surfactant found in toothpaste, shampoo, body wash it’s also a safe food additive.  A cleansing and foaming agent that’s safe to wash off skin and is derived from coconut.  Non toxic in low levels and can bother some sensitive skin so if that’s you, best wear gloves in case.

Polyethylene glycol (6000)

Otherwise known as PEG 6000, it’s found in many medicines, toothpastes and is also a permitted additive in foods. It’s used as a mold release agent and also increases solubiity – it’s even used as a laxative!

Sodium Benzoate

Often used as a preservative, it’s found in some soft drinks.  Benzoic acid is a good preservative and when combining it with Sodium Hydroxide it becomes more dissolvable (important when considering our tablets have to dissolve!) Some bacteria produce benzoic acid when fermenting yoghurt!  It’s biodegradable and non – toxic as a cleaning agent.

EDTA Salt

An organic acid used in cleaning solutions providing an effective disinfectant.  Found in eye drops and some foods / drink it’s nontoxic and non -  carcinogenic

Fragrance:

    Love the citrus fragrance

I like how subtle the citrus smell is but it lasts in the bathroom for ages after cleaning. Cleans well.

I am very happy to clean my bathroom with this. Usually I hate it due to the overpowering fumes.

    Nice to clean without fumes

I love this because I don't sneeze 50 times while cleaning the shower like I do with other strong smelling cleaners.

    Works relatively well

Works well as an everyday wipe over - not effective on stained grout or anything.
